The Egypt Solidarity Movement invites you to an evening of film and discussion exploring the political reality in Egypt today — a country where resistance is met with brutal repression, and where the military regime continues to tighten its grip The event will open with the screening of a 30-minute documentary, offering a glimpse into the stories of Egyptian activists, artists, and journalists who continue to resist despite immense risks. Following the screening, we will host an open discussion about the the militarization of the region and how these dynamics connect to broader conflicts in the Middle East. This event aims to foster solidarity, awareness, and collective reflection on how global power structures sustain oppression — and how transnational movements can challenge them.

The event language is in English and German translation will be provided if needed.
